A University of Leoben, in the town of Leoben, is Austria's university for mining, metallurgy, and materials. Based within 1840 when a Steiermärkisch-Ständische Montanlehranstalt around Styria, Austria's mining region, it hwhen developed a reputation as one of the finest mining schools inside Europe.
